All electric shavers and trimmers need lubricating oil applied to the teeth of the trimmer or to the underside of the shaver foil, at least once a month. This enables the blades to move quickly and to cut hair smoothly without pulling. The blades may start to slow or stop unless they are cleaned and oiled regularly. One drop of oil in the teeth of trimmer blades or one drop on the underside of the shaver foil every 2 - 4 weeks is all that is needed
